BARDARBUNGA VOLCANO ERUPTS
Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano has been erupting since August 16,
2014, and surface eruptions began August 28. Lava now covers about 2.8 square
miles (7.2 square km) and continues at approximately 3,530 cubic feet per second
(100 cubic meters per second), the Met Office reported.
Lava flow beneath the ice threatens massive flooding and
officials are concerned.
